Saab 9-5 expanded range for 2011.

Saab has expanded and improved the 9-5 range for the 2012 Model Year.

Amongst the changes is the introduction of the SportWagon estate model plus enhancements to reduce CO2 emission ratings further across all engines.The 9-5 SportWagon and the Saloon model will now also benefit from more efficient and economic diesel and petrol engines.

The SportWagon acts as an alternative choice for premium wagon customers, obtaining distinct attributes from the 9-5 Saloon. It will have various advanced driving features, like Saab’s XWD all wheel-drive system and DriveSense adaptive chassis control and cruise control.Also included are adaptive lightning, keyless entry and a pilot head-up display which projects information across the windshield like an aircraft.It also comes with some cargo handling features to. This includes an adaptable multi-fold floor, flexible load space configuration and under-floor stowage with a sealed wet storage compartment. Owners can also acquire a programmable, powered tailgate.One new refinement to the 9-5 engine options is Start/Stop functionality which reduces CO2 emissions by about 4.7% across the range on average.

The 9-5 now enjoys greater refinement to, thanks to extensive testing and development work on UK roads by Saab.Interior features have also been updated, now including a metallic-like trim finish. Satellite navigation and a digital radio are now both standard on all models.

Order books for the latest 9-5 range are now open; the first customer deliveries will be made starting from autumn 2011.The 9-5 SportWagon will start selling in UK showrooms this September. On-the-road price range for the SportWagon starts from £26,995 rising up to £39,195.
